Profile: Prof. Jiangzhou Wang is a Professor at the University of Kent, U.K. His research interest is in mobile communications. He has published over 400 papers and 4 books. He was a recipient of the 2022 IEEE Communications Society Leonard G. Abraham Prize and the 2012 IEEE Globecom Best Paper Award. Professor Wang is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, U.K., Fellow of the IEEE, and Fellow of the IET. He was the Technical Program Chair of the 2019 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC2019), Shanghai, the Executive Chair of the IEEE ICC2015, London, and the Technical Program Chair of the IEEE WCNC2013.  


ProfJiguo Yu

IEEE Fellow, Qilu University of Technology, China

Profile: Prof. Jiguo Yu is IEEE Fellow, second-level professor, doctoral supervisor, director of the Big Data Research Institute, academic leader of "Computer Science and Technology" "Peak" construction discipline and doctoral program in Shandong Province, member of the Internet of Things Professional Committee of the China Computer Society, Shandong University Vice Chairman of the Data Research Association and editorial board member of 3 SCI journals. He currently presides over and undertakes 6 national key R&D plan projects, National Natural Science Foundation key/general projects, Shandong Provincial Natural Science Foundation major basic research plan projects, etc., and has 16 authorized invention patents. He has been published in well-known academic journals and international conferences in the computer field. Published more than 200 papers, more than 160 of which were included in SCI, including famous journals IEEE/ACM ToN, IEEE TIFS, IEEE TDSC, IEEE TPDS, IEEE TMC, IEEE TC, IEEE TWC, etc., and top international conferences INFOCOM and ICDCS, etc., published English academic He has authored 1 monograph and won the Best Paper Award at international conferences five times. In 2015, he was rated as an outstanding graduate instructor in Shandong Province. In 2018, he won the first prize of the Eighth Higher Education Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. In 2020, he won the first prize of Shandong Province Higher Education Science and Technology Award. In 2021, he won the second prize of Shandong Province Natural Science Award. prize. The main research areas are: the Internet of Things/CPS/wireless networks, network and data security and privacy protection, blockchain, distributed computing, etc.


ProfChong-Yung Chi

IEEE Fellow, AAIA & AIIA Fellow, National Tsing Hua University, China

Profile: Prof. Chong-Yung Chi received a B.S. degree from Tatung Institute of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan in 1975, a M.S. degree from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan in 1977, a Ph.D. degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1983, all in electrical engineering. He is currently a Professor at National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He has published more than 240 technical papers (with citations more than 7500 times by Google-Scholar), including more than 90 journal papers (mostly in IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON SIGNAL PROCESSING), more than 140 peer-reviewed conference papers, 3 book chapters, and 2 books, including a textbook, Convex Optimization for Signal Processing and Communications: From Fundamentals to Applications, CRC Press, 2017 (which has been popularly used in a series of invited intensive short courses at 10 top-ranking universities in Mainland China since 2010 before its publication). His current research interests include signal processing for wireless communications, convex analysis and optimization for blind source separation, biomedical and hyperspectral image analysis, graph-based learning and signal processing, and data security and privacy protection in machine learning. Dr. Chi received the 2018 IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Award, entitled “Outage Constrained Robust Transmit Optimization for Multiuser MISO Downlinks: Tractable Approximations by Conic Optimization,” IEEE Transactionson on Signal Processing, vol. 62, no. 21, Nov. 2014. He has been a Technical Program Committee member for many IEEE-sponsored and cosponsored workshops, symposiums, and conferences on signal processing and wireless communications, including Co-Organizer and General Co-Chairman of the 2001 IEEE Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC). He was an Associate Editor (AE) for four IEEE Journals, including IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON SIGNAL PROCESSING for 9 years (5/2001-4/2006, 1/2012-12/2015), and he was a member of Signal Processing Theory and Methods Technical Committee (SPTM-TC) (2005-2010), a member of Signal Processing for Communications and Networking Technical Committee (SPCOM-TC) (2011-2016), and a member of Sensor Array and Multichannel Technical Committee (SAM-TC) (2013-2018), IEEE Signal Processing Society.


Prof. Fushuan Wen

IEEE Fellow, Zhejiang University, China

Profile: Prof. Wen Fushuan is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang University, director of the Institute of Electricity Economics and Informatization at Zhejiang University, and a special professor of "Pearl River Scholar" in Guangdong Province (part-time from 2005 to 2010). He has been a professor, visiting professor, or researcher at the National University of Singapore, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Hong Kong, University of New South Wales, Queensland University of Technology, Brunei University of Technology, University of Technology, Denmark, Nanyang Technological University, Murdoch University, Australia. He is mainly engaged in the research of power system fault diagnosis and system recovery, power economy and power market, smart grid, and electric vehicles. He has published more than 600 papers, more than 150 in SCI, more than 450 in EI, more than 570 in Scopus, and more than 10,000 citations. Prof. Fushuan Wen has been selected as one of the most highly cited scholars in China by Elsevier in 2015, 2016 and 2017, and his papers were selected as one of the "100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers in China" in 2016 and "ESI (Essential The papers published by him were listed in the "100 Most Influential Domestic Academic Papers" and "ESI (Essential Science Indicators) Highly Cited Papers" in 2016, and 8 papers were listed in the "F5000 - Top Academic Papers in Chinese Fine Science and Technology Journals" (abbreviated as F5000).    The research result "Research on the theory and method of modeling, analysis, and control of AC and DC power systems" won the National Natural Science Award in 1997. His other 6 achievements were awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology at the provincial level. He has completed and undertaken more than 150 research projects, including 973 projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, 863 projects, the National Science and Technology Support Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, State Grid Corporation, and Southern Power Grid Corporation. Prof. Fushuan Wen is the editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and IEEE Power Engineering Letters, and the subject editor of IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution. He is the Editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and IEEE Power Engineering Letters, the Associate Editor of IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, the Associate Editor of ASCE's Journal of Energy Engineering, and the Editor-in-Chief of more than 10 other journals.


Prof. Ying Tan

Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions, Peking University, China

Profile: Prof. Ying Tan is a full professor and PhD advisor at Peking University. He is the inventor of the Fireworks Algorithm (FWA). He received his BEng, MS from Xidian University, and PhD from Southeast University, in 1985, 1988, and 1997, respectively. He worked as a professor at the Faculty of Design, Kyushu University, Japan, in 2018, at Columbia University as a senior research fellow in 2017, and at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1999 and 2004-2005 as a research fellow, etc. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of IASEI Transactions on Swarm Intelligence, Research Reports on Computer Science (RRCS) and International Journal of Computational Intelligence and Pattern Recognition (IJCIPR), the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics (CYB), IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning System (NNLS), IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Magazine, Neural Networks, Machine Learning with Applications, etc. He also served as an Editor of Springer’s Lecture Notes on Computer Science (LNCS) for 50+ volumes and as Guest Editors of several referred Journals, including IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Information Science, Neurocomputing, Natural Computing, Swarm and Evolutionary Optimization, etc. He has been the founder and general chair of the ICSI International Conference series since 2010 and the DMBD conference series since 2016. He is the president of the International Association of Swarm and Evolutionary Intelligence (IASEI). He won the 2nd-Class Natural Science Award of China in 2009, the 2nd-Class Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education of China in 2019, and many best paper awards. His research interests include computational intelligence, swarm intelligence, deep neural networks, machine learning and data mining for information security and financial prediction, etc. He has published more than 380+ papers in refereed journals and conferences in these areas, and authored/co-authored 15 books, including “Fireworks Algorithm” by Springer in 2015, and “GPU based Parallel Implementation of Swarm Intelligence Algorithms” by Morgan Kaufmann (Elsevier) in 2016, and received 5 invention patents.


Prof. Mingliang Xu

Zhengzhou University, China

Profile: Prof. Mingliang Xu (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from the State Key Lab of CAD&CG, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He is currently a Professor with the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China. He has authored more than 100 journal and conference papers in his research areas which include computer graphics, multimedia, and artificial intelligence and ACM Transactions on Graphics, IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, ACM SIGGRAPH (Asia), ACM Multimedia, and International Conference on Computer Vision.


Prof. Jiahu Qin

IEEE Senior Member, University of Science and Technology of China, China

Profile: Prof. Jiahu Qin received his first Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2012, and his second Ph.D. degree in systems and control from The Australian National University, Canberra, ACT, Australia, in 2014. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Automation, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China. His current research interests include networked control systems, autonomous intelligent systems, and human–robot interaction.


Prof. Hongzhi Wang

IEEE Senior member, Harbin Institute of Technology, China

Profile: Prof. Hongzhi Wang, Professor, PH.D. supervisor, the head of the massive data computing center, the secretary general of ACM SIGMOD China, outstanding CCF member, IEEE Senior member, a standing committee member CCF databases, and a member of CCF big data committee.  Research Fields include big data management and analysis, database systems, knowledge engineering, and data quality.  He was a "starring track" visiting professor at MSRA and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Irvine.  Prof. Wang has been PI for more than 10 national or international projects including NSFC key projects, NSFC projects, and National Technical support projects, and co-PI for more than 10 national projects include 973 projects, 863 projects and NSFC key projects.  He also serves as a member of the ACM Data Science Task Force. He has won the First Natural Science Prize of Heilongjiang Province, the MOE Technological First Award, the Microsoft Fellowship, the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship, and the award of "The Chinese Excellent Database Engineer". His publications include over 300 papers in journals and conferences such as VLDB Journal, IEEE TKDE, VLDB, SIGMOD, ICDE, SIGIR, 6 books, and 6 book chapters. His Ph.D. thesis was elected to be an outstanding Ph.D. dissertation of CCF and Harbin Institute of Technology. He serves as the reviewer of more than 20 international journals including VLDB Journal, IEEE TKDE, and PC members of over 50 international conferences including SIGMOD, VLDB, KDD, ICML, NeurpIS, ICDE, etc.  His papers were cited more than 4000 times.
